Last semester I had to get a new student education plan in order to keep getting paid to attend classes. As it goes right now, come spring, I will only have 1 class left to take off my “education plan.” Because the class will be only 5 credits, the MGIB will only pay 0. My question is this…. what is the penalty (if any) on changing your education plan, or trying for another one before this current one is finished? I am a pre-nursing student and because Cali is in serious budget crisis, all nursing (as well as regular enrollments) are cancelled for Spring. Nurse programs are hard to come by, so I am going to work on something else in the process. I just need to know about the education plan that VA requires you go off of in order to get paid.
I already looked into the post 911 bill- and i dont think it is this great thing as everyone is thinking. The housing money sounds nice- but the turnover time completed and money used so far gets jipped when you transfer over. Not to mention, they dont say anything about the education plan that you have to be under in order to get money.
